At the Center for Educational Equity, we work to guarantee every child a meaningful educational opportunity to graduate from high school prepared for college, careers, and engaged civic participation. We use legal strategies, academic research, and collective advocacy to achieve foundational change.
What We Do
Legal Advocacy
The Center aims to establish a right to meaningful educational opportunity under state constitutions in New York and throughout the country through research, advocacy, consultancy and filing pathbreaking educational reform litigations.
Research & Policy Analysis
The Center provides dependable research and analysis to support nationwide efforts to establish strong state constitutional rights to education through advocacy and/or litigation and to secure the funding needed to uphold those rights for all students.
Collective Action
To help build a fair society and strong democracy, the Center advocates collectively for improvements in education policy in New York State and nationally to ensure all students get an education that prepares them for effective civic participation.
Support Us
Supporting the Center will help build an inclusive, healthy democracy and equitable society by strengthening students' educational rights. Our individual and collective well-being, and the strength of our democracy, hang in the balance.
